Jane Phelps
Jane is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University’s College of Business & Management and a Certified Public Accountant.
She served as an accountant for Rockford Health Systems for 21 years, the last several as their tax analyst, before retiring in December 2012. She continues to maintain a private income tax practice that serves over 500 clients.
She was a co-founder of the Yeshua Catholic International Leadership Institute and has been Chief Financial Officer since its founding. She was instrumental in obtaining the Institute’s 501(c)(3) status as a nonprofit, tax deductible charitable organization.
She is a former member of the Finance Committee and is a Communion Minister to the homebound at St. Mary Parish in Durand, IL, and serves on the Rockford Diocese’s Audit Committee. She also provides free tax services to clients of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Community Center in Rockford, IL, and volunteers as a baby cuddler in the NICU at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
She is a lector and Eucharistic minister and participates in the Eucharistic ministry to the homebound at St. Anthony of Padua parish in Lac du Flambeau, WI.
Jane is married to Owen, the mother of five grown children and grandmother of 16.
