Anyone who has ever participated in a Catholic Vision for Leading Like Jesus Encounter is being invited to become a Facilitator of the program at a free training session in Rockford, IL.
The training session is set for Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, 200 South Bell School Rd., just west of the I-90 E. State Street exit.
We’re even throwing in a free continental breakfast, provided by the Yeshua Institute.
The training will certify participants as Facilitators of the Catholic Vision for Leading Like Jesus Encounter, which means you will lead the Encounter experience and share its insights with other Catholics in every walk of life.
As a certified Facilitator, you would be able to help equip Catholics in every walk of life to Lead Like Jesus – as Servants, Stewards and Shepherds (S3).
The Encounter has received a warm reception in parishes all across the U.S., as well as in four foreign countries on three continents. Various other Catholic groups have also found the program valuable for their members.
“Facilitators tell us it is very rewarding to assist others in learning how to be Jesus-like Leaders,” Dr. Owen Phelps, Director of the Yeshua Institute says.
Those who decide to lead Encounters will need a $50 Facilitator’s Kit -- but there is no requirement to purchase the kit at the free Facilitator training. “Facilitators don’t need the kit until they actually schedule an Encounter, and then the cost can be built into the cost of the program,” Phelps explains.
Although the program is free, advance registration is required. To register send your name, address and home parish to ophelps@YeshuaLeader.com on or before Friday, Nov. 10. If you have any questions, also address them to ophelps@YeshuaLeader.com.
